| Alex
Gonzalez It all began in high school for this fine lad. After discovering Led Zeppelin's first album in a family collection, Alex quickly discovered a penchant for the style of Jimmy Page. Shortly thereafter, his unquenchable musical appetite led him to Pink Floyd. Alex dug the high energy, dance style of Floyd and learned to play in the style of David Gilmour. Using Gilmour's first recordings with the Floyd on Saucerful of Secrets up through the "modern" style of Gilmour on the Division Bell as a roadmap, Alex dove right into the methods, licks, chops and moods of Mr. Gilmour. Playing live, Alex can occasionally be seen sucking in his cheeks as Mr. Gilmour likes to do of late (apparently this means he's really "rippin' it up"). Alex was in various band throughout his 15 years of lazily playing guitar, but none as successful as his stint with the "Shaman Riders". Alex enjoyed the company of Mark King's dazzling keyboard style and friendship in that band from about 1992-1995. Alex and Mark have known each other since their freshman year in high school. Alex can remember Mark playing "Echoes" back when they were 15 years old and being quite frightened at this new, spacey groove......there was also concern for the mental status of his new friend. Thankfully, everything turned out okay. Alex currently works as a CPA and is in charge of the band's financial well being (wish him luck).
