Jason Adams
Drums, Percussion, Triangle
(Nick Mason)
Our drummer, the Hat (an acronym which we cannot divulge here), began his
musical career on the violin and guitar in the mid-1980s, collecting and
playing other stringed and sundry instruments on his way to
drummer-land. Inspired by jazzers such as Tony Williams, Jack DeJohnette,
and Billy Cobham, Hat befriended a pair of sticks in the late 1990s and
discovered the joy of hitting things hard and fast. His love of Pink Floyd
can be traced back to his parents, who owned several of the Floyd LPs, and
the young Hat purchased "The Final Cut" and "Works" when they were in the
new release bin. A seemingly favorite pastime of Hat's is spending hours
and hours compiling and editing the video footage that Echoes of Pink Floyd
projects onto their screen during performances; that, and continuing to
amass his already obsessive amount of Pink Floyd bootlegs.
